Description
This 18th century Uzbek Door Trim was used as a sign of good fortune and welcome to guests. It is made of velvet and cotton and is hand embroidered.It would be a lovely and very unique door surround in a modern home. The embroidery is done primarily in red and blue on black velvet. The reverse has Russian cotton in a floral pattern. Its condition is good for its age with random very small wear spots. It is from Uzbekistan. the horizontal portion measures 40 x 4 inches and the verticals measure 72 x 3.25 inches each.
